Introduction
The URV works to promote all the research activities of its members, emphasising the strengthening of the different groups and the quality and magnitude of scientific production. To achieve this, the University has complex structures that work together and coordinate in this field, with the research groups as the basic unit.
The activities of these groups can be developed within the framework of departments, university research institutes (both scientific and technical) or other centres.
The main function of the institutes is to organize, develop and evaluate basic research and applied or artistic creation programs within the scope of its competencies.
On the other hand, research centres share these functions but differ in that they can be created by the University.
